Tag: Yoga Class

I was a little reluctant in becoming addicted to the whole yoga fad especially because I thought that there were a lot of expenditures involved in it. That was then, but after having a quick chat with a friend who’s been doing yoga for years I discovered how yoga can be done without all the extra expenses and without even diminishing the standard of your yoga practice. I admit that several classes could put a hole in your pocket but here are some tips that could lessen all your expenses.

1. Buy classes by bulk

They generally call these kinds of packages as class cards. One class card is generally equal to 10 – 20 yoga classes depending on the package that you acquire. This might help you obtain a great discount however you’ll need to have the full money available. It is an advantage as well as it will help you maintain a particular schedule particularly if you’ve already paid for the sessions.

2. Buy your own mat as well as a water bottle

Thinking of renting a mat for 2 dollars for every use and purchasing dollar bottled water whenever you attend yoga class? Well, 3 dollars might not seem a lot but when you think about it and add it up, you will notice that it could actually make a dent on your budget. Yoga mats are actually for sale for only $20, you don’t have to use a calculator for that. And yes it will be noticeably better than a for rent yoga mat.

3. Do karma yoga

If you’re a student or possibly unemployed, you can do some yoga classes as well. If you used to be a regular but have unfortunately is a bit strap on funds and can’t afford it anymore, you may be able to trade work for classes. It is known in the yoga world as “karma yoga”. You can work as a sort of a personal assistant: performing tasks such as front desk work, a bit of carpentry and also cleaning, some graphic design and you might even obtain a resume out of it.

One important note: Do not be reluctant to ask your yoga studio because most studios are actually happy to exchange lessons for your offered services.

4. Select less expensive classes

You can find lots of studios that provide cheaper classes as compared to regular studios or gyms. Some of them are on off peak schedules and would probably be held in gyms, community facilities and so on. Another thing, have you heard of donation based studios? Well do a search and discover the one closest to you!

5. Do yoga at your home

Whenever you do yoga at your home you will definitely save more money however you will notice the boredom, the lack of apparatus and definitely a lack of proper instruction. You will need to rely on a video or maybe an audio download. If you intend to stick with this, it will be very important to keep yourself motivated by going to a class once in a while.
