When you drink more water, you not only feel fuller, you also are getting rid of toxins, fats and things that are in your body that you don’t need. This will really jump start your weight loss, you could lose as much as five pounds in just a week. If you get tired of drinking plain water, you can use Crystal light added to a bottle of water. They come in convenient packs so you can carry them in your purse and add it to a bottle of water whenever you want.

Drinking milk helps to block your body from absorbing calories, so drinking milk is a good thing to do to help you lose weight.

Invite a friend to join you on your weight loss journey, having someone to work with makes the process easier. You won’t feel alone, you can support each other.

As you lose weight, get rid of clothes that are too big for you. Holding on to them is like telling yourself you think you will fail and gain back the weight.

Move more, if you can walk instead of drive, do it. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Anything that you can do to get your body moving is good. When you are moving, you are burning more calories. Try making an after dinner walk part of your daily routine. You will burn more calories and it is a mood booster.

I also like using a bicycle to stimulate weight loss. I get up early in the morning when my energy level is the highest and take off on a nice ride. I burn a lot of calories this way. It’s probably my best tip for losing weight.

Is it possible to lose weight without going on a diet? It is a question that many people have pondered while trying to figure out their options for dropping those extra pounds. But it is a legitimate question and the answer is one that is likely to be argued by many. The simple answer is “Yes” but there are some additional requirements if you are truly going to lose weight without dieting.

First of all, there are many diets being pushed by the media and different health moguls today. You have the South Beach Diet, the Adkins Diet, and even diets that only require you to take a pill. But there are other ways to successfully lose weight without having to starve yourself or restricting the types of foods you can eat.

One of the simplest ways to start shedding pounds without dieting is to start an exercise program. Speed walking, jogging, hitting a punching bag, or even basic calisthenics are all good ways to get started toward melting away your extra pounds. Not only does exercise burn calories while you are working out, it also increases your metabolism which can help burn additional calories long after your workout has ended. You will also feel better and have more energy.

Another effective way to lose weight without turning to one of those fad diets is to simply monitor your portions. So you can continue to eat the normal foods you have always eaten, just eat less of them. Reducing your portions will help you feel better because you won’t feel so full or bloated after each meal.

So as you can see, losing weight without dieting is certainly possible. You just have to be willing put in a little bit of hard work and pay closer attention to the amount of food you are putting on your plate.

You may have already subscribed to hundreds of newsletters that give you weight loss tips. Your email inbox is bombarded everyday with tips that promise you a size 28 waist in 7 days.

But the fact is that while there are some generalized weight loss tips for everyone, most weight loss tips may not really work for you.

You are as unique as every other individual in this world and hence you need a solution that is unique to your needs. The weight loss program should be tailored after completely looking into your eating and lifestyle habits.

Calculating calories

An effective weight loss program will start off by calculating the number of calories that you consume everyday. The trick is to then reduce this calorie intake by at least 500 everyday. This is not an easy task to accomplish especially for someone who is starting off. But if you stick to the weight loss program you will eventually start losing it. Did I mention that determination is the key ingredient in a weight loss program? No program can give you this. You need to ensure that you bring it up from within yourself. In fact this is one of the reasons why most weight loss programs do not work for most people.

Do not deprive yourself

If you are staying hungry and feeling listless with your weight loss program, then quit it. There are ways in which you can lose weight without depriving yourself of food. It all matters on what you eat and when rather than how much.

There are several things people can do to lose weight that are very similar to undergoing hypnosis. I believe hypnosis has two main tools, distorting perceptions and increasing motivation. For someone trying to lose weight I might distort their perceptions so that they have a better self image and thus feel more inclined to improve their bodies and their health or I might distort their perceptions of how full they are. I might increase their motivation to exercise and eat right or increase their motivation to exercise their will power. Will power is something that takes time and practice, the better you get at it the more it will help you in all areas of your life. With that in mind, here are some tips that will help you lose weight that are similar to what you might experience with hypnosis.

Tip #1 – Get Smaller Plates. You might know on conscious level that the plates (or bowls, cups, et c) are smaller but the reaction to how full you are is inbuilt. You see an empty plate that means you’ve finished eating. Even if you’re the kind of person to go back for seconds, there is still an implication that each round of eating ends with an empty plate. Getting smaller plates tricks the part of your mind that’s learned the reaction – empty plate equals finished meal.

Tip #2 – Get a Training Partner. Sometimes you find it easier to motivate someone else than you do yourself. If you train with someone you need to push them to train harder and as a result they will push you right back. If you have a child who is also overweight or if you know someone who’s overweight but knows nothing about exercise you can go one step better. If you adopt the teacher role, where you instruct them on training and help them exercise, you will become far more motivated to do better yourself. An old teaching tactic is to make the pupil teach someone else because it really focuses their learning.

Tip #3 – Become a Bit Self-Obsessed. Start checking yourself out in the mirror. Start measuring the size of parts of your body with a tape measure. As you start to eat healthy and exercise you will start to look better and you will start to slim down. If you start enjoying every small victory you can stay motivated to keep going. Start catching glimpses of yourself in reflective surfaces. Notice how much better you start to look after just one week, one month, and eventually one year. And be proud. Develop a good relationship with your self-image.

Tip #4 – Drink More Water. Did you know that you get a lot of your calories from beverages? Your colas, lemonades even your fruit juices contain a lot of calories. Want to know the worst part? Your body won’t tell you that you’ve consumed enough calories. Our bodies are not wired to produce the “I’m full response” after having a drink. You could have dozens of drinks with high calorie contents throughout the day and your body would not tell you that it’s enough but you still consume those calories. Instead drink water when you want a drink. That’s what the body wants when it’s thirsty anyway. See this is very much like a hypnotic effect. You are consuming calories and your body isn’t telling you to stop when it’s had enough. Your perceptions with drinks are already distorted.

These tips will not replace a healthy diet and plenty of exercise. But they can be a good start. Use them as motivation for going further. Prove to yourself that you can achieve these small goals. Remember that success is not a place to stop and rest; it’s a stepping stone to your next goals.

Tip 1. Eliminate Junk Food

Tip 3. Cut Down the Size of Your Meal Portions

We have all been brought up being told that eating three meals a day is important. However when trying to lose weight it will make it more difficult for you to actually achieve your weight loss goals. When trying to lose weight you should be aiming to eat just 5 or 6 small meals a day. Not only will this help to suppress your appetite but you will find that eating smaller amounts of food on a regular basis will help to keep your metabolism working harder. As a result you will find that you burn off any additional fat much easier as your body requires the energy as it is burnt to help it function properly.

Tip 4. Cut Down On Your Calories without Starving Yourself

When it comes to reducing your calorie intake you must make sure that you do this gradually. It is best if you reduce your calorie intake by a small amount each day. However you need to be aware that you won’t actually start losing weight until you have reached the point where you are in fact using up more of the calories than you have each day. By using this one of our weight loss tips it will help to prevent you from snacking or binging.
