When you want to lose weight, fast, it can be tempting to opt for diet techniques that frankly sound too good to be true – and they are. Here are 5 of the most common diet scams to avoid at all costs!

1. Diet pills.
The truth is that if something says it will make you lose weight rapidly, it’s a scam. Healthy weight loss requires hard work, will-power and a healthy nutrition plan. No matter what weight loss pills may promise, do not consume them. Not only will you be wasting your money if you buy into diet pill fads, but you could also be in taking some harmful chemicals. Diet pills can often results in side effects such as: nervousness, high blood pressure, fatigue, headaches, intestinal problems and menstrual cycle disturbance (not to mention many others).

2. Hollywood diets.
If you want to look your best it’s easy to aspire to celebrities, but try and keep your mind focused on reality if you find yourself leaning towards a Hollywood diet. A-list stars have people on hand to make them look fabulous 24/7 and every photo you see will include elements of make-up magic, lighting trickery or even Photoshop. Don’t be tempted to follow a “celebrity diet”, remember you can’t believe everything you read and even if the “Cabbage soup” diet is real, it will be: a) disgusting b) sure to rid you of a healthy glow and c) usually undertaken alongside strenuous celebrity training regimes!

3. Weight loss programs with high start-up fees.
If the cost of joining a weight loss program seems excessive, then it probably is. High start-up fees should be a warning sign for any weight loss solutions that you should steer clear immediately. It doesn’t have to cost you anything to lose weight, exercise is a completely free activity, and though you may choose to take out a gym membership it’s not essential. Plus, enjoying a balanced diet which includes simple, healthy recipes will be more enjoyable than any restrictive weight loss program.

4. Diet Patches.
Unlike nicotine patches, diet patches have no proven medical effect and are therefore completely pointless! Don’t feel ashamed if you’ve already tried diet patches – it’s understandable to want to try just about anything to shed your extra pounds, but don’t re-purchase, diet patches will not help you lose weight.

5. “Super” exercise equipment.
Another commonly fallen for scam is that of the “super” exercise equipment. Whilst strict fitness routines and regular exercises can defiantly aid weight loss, those trainer and exercise devices advertised especially for weight loss are one’s to be wary of. Many of these devices use unfounded claims in their advertising, save your money and invest in a personal trainer instead.

Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman ….. These beauties are envied world over for their shapely bodies, fit physique, sizzling figures with curves to die for. They are idolized by old and the young alike and are role models for many. What is it that keeps them in such a shape? What is that keeps them forever young? Angelina Joliet reveals she follows a strict routine of kick boxing, canoeing and yoga along with a diet of boiled and steam vegetables. Janet Jackson believes in a rigorous workout with a strict diet which excludes fried foods.
What is the one common factor in all these celebrities. They all use a common method. A combination of good diet and exercise. However it is easier said then done. What are the tips for a successful weight loss?

A successful weight loss begins with successful target setting. In order to travel somewhere one needs to decide a destination. Similarly for a successful weight loss, it is important to keep a realistic goal in mind. How much do you want to lose?

Once the target has been set, it is important to document it. Documentation includes the action plan required to achieve your goal.
Once the weight loss target has been set and documented, it needs to be broken down into smaller achievable targets. For example if your goal is 42lbs weight loss over 6 months, then an achievable target would be a weight loss of 4lbs per month. But this does not mean you need to starve yourself to look like these celebrities. These days diet pills like Phentermine are the perfect answer for weight loss without pain. These appetite suppressants kill your hunger and enhance your metabolism. That actually means that you can have your quiche and digest it too. Phentermine does not have serious ill effects like ephedra because it is used for a period of 6 to 12 weeks, which means if taken properly it is not habit forming. Phentermine, along with a reasonable diet plan and exercise is God sent answer to those who are weary of this battle of bulge.

In December 2009, a 38-year-old mother of 7-year-old twins died after undergoing enhancement surgery on her lower body. Absolutely tragic, of course. But what gives her death a particularly ironic chill is that the woman won a national beauty contest in 1994 and went on to start a modeling agency!

Clad in large dark sunglasses, the friend who accompanied the woman to her fateful appointment told the media, “She would tell me, ‘I want a big behind.’ She was very tall, really beautiful, and she’d say, ‘I need more behind.’ But of course, we never thought it would end like this.”

The idea of a successful professional model seeing herself as less than perfect is beyond bizarre: such insecurities are supposed to be the domain of us non-hourglass-figured mortals in the real world. As girls, we’re handed dolls that would have 20-inch waists if human-sized. As teenagers, we put anorexia, obesity and other eating disorders on the map. As young adults, we prefer gulping down diet pills to exercising regularly. And when we get to be around 38 years of age, men start trading us in for younger models (if you’ll pardon the expression).

Maybe this wouldn’t have happened if the woman had worked at something other than working with fashion models. It had been seven years since she’d given birth, and she was preparing to appear in a runway show herself–really, how bad COULD she have looked? Maybe her increasingly youthful client list was making her feel old–did she feel a need to show that she could still “compete” with them?

Most likely, though, she was probably just in too much of a hurry to eat and exercise properly. Think of the time and money she could have saved by investing in a personal trainer who could have helped tone up her lower body. Which brings us to something another friend of hers said: “A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind.”

When all that is really required is a little time each day, a little motivation and some lower body makeover exercises, it’s hard not to cry out, “Did this really have to happen?”

You don’t have to pay for a firmer lower body with your life. For instance, there’s a body toning program which targets the buttocks and thighs that can be ordered from http://www.rocktivity.com/lower-body-makeover.
