This is me as of December 2009 after starting stopping P90X a couple of times last year. I’d end up going til the end of the 2nd month/phase yet never quite managing to stay motivated or inspired by it enough to push through the last final month of it. Not to disregard it as a program, because it is great in its’ training theories, but for my body after seeing what just old school heavy lifting has done in the same amount of time, I’m sold on old school/body building style training instead (well Zumba yoga mixed in for variety of course.
The Contra Costa Boot Camp Walnut Creek Boot Camp class does a variation of the crossfit “filthy fifty”. We modified the workout as needed to fit the location and the individuals needs. Everyone pushed themselves within their own limits and they all finished in about the same amount of time. It was a great workout and great effort by all.
