A retired gentleman went to the social security office to apply for Social Security.

The woman behind the counter asked him for his driver’s license to verify his age. He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home. He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home. I will have to go home and come back later. The woman says, Unbutton your shirt. So he opens his shirt revealing curly silver hair. She says, That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me and she processed his Social Security application.

When he gets home, the man excitedly tells his wife about his experience at the social security office. She says, You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too.

By We I mean you and I. When are we going to bring our men and women home from Bush’s war, which is based on falsified intelligence and hatred stemming from an attack that neither the Iraq government, or any Iraqi took part in.
Now that Halliburton, weapons manufacturers, oil companies, security firms and insurance companies have all made billions off of the US taxpayer and have bled Iraq dry, they are looking for a new target for their next business venture, I.E. War.
When will we stand up to Bush, he is wrong on Iraq. Wrong on Immigration. Wrong on stem cell research. WRONG FOR AMERICA.
How, after nearly 7 years of an illegal occupancy in the white house, an illegal occupancy in Iraq, and nearly every appointee being fired, forced from office, or brought under invtestigation can we still allow this man to run amok in America and the world?
Colin Powell once falsely said that Iraq had WMDs. The greatest WMD in the world is Bush, and his crusade against us, for corporate profit.

Anyone is actually welcome to answer. I would like to adopt if and when I marry. However, my ex, who I may or may not get back together with, likes the idea of having our own kids. This is not an issue. We’re both willing to compromise. I worry more about my career. If I give birth, I’d like to stay home for the first two to three years. He says it’s unnecessary, but he’s fine with it. If I take that many years off (I’m a teacher), how will it be going back, and is it fair to put the financial burden on him? There’s a book by Leslie Bennetts (which I’ve yet to read) called The Feminine Mistake, which suggests women who stay home to raise their children may be hurting their own security and their family’s. Can anyone give insight?
I meant financial security.

REPORT: MORE YOUNG GIRLS FACE **** IN AFGHANISTAN

Rights group says GIRLS AS YOUNG AS SEVEN ARE REGULARLY RAPED
United nations calls for better protection for civilians

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) — ***** targeting girls as young as seven are on the increase in Afghanistan where conditions for women are little better than under the Taliban, the U.N. and rights groups say.
In its annual report on human rights, the U.N. warned conditions were deteriorating in the war-ravaged country despite U.S.-led efforts after the 2001 removal from power of the hardline militia.
Violence is tolerated or condoned within the family and community, within traditional and religious leadership circles, as well as the formal and informal justice system, said Navi Pillay, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights. The Afghan government has failed to adequately protect the rights of women despite constitutional guarantees.
With a resurgent Taliban targeting NATO forces, government security forces and civilians, violence has been on the increase in Afghanistan. The number of civilian casualties in 2008 totaled 2,118 — the highest number recorded since the ouster of the Taliban in 2001, the U.N. said, urging greater protecting for ordinary Afghans.
Violence against women comes in the form of rape, honor killings, early and forced marriages, sexual abuse and slavery, the report says. The security is the big issue, said Suraya Pakzad, founder of the Voice of Women Organization, which promotes education and awareness of women’s rights and protects women and girls at risk in Afghanistan.
Because of security we, unfortunately, day by day, we have to pull out of areas where last year we operated, we have our operations. We were able to work with the women, but this year we cannot, she said. We have to leave the area because security is getting worse day by day.
Rapes in the country have been growing tremendously, particularly child ***** within the ages of 9, 8, 7, even lesser than that, said Wazhma Frogh, director of Global Rights Afghanistan. So these are the issues that are all born by this lack of security where women have no place in … security decisions.
Domestic violence against child brides is widespread, said Suraya Pakzad, the founder of the Voice of Women organization, who was married at age 14 and has six children. She said girls as young as 10 face violation by husbands 40 years their senior. By the end … women, or girls, run away.
But women without husbands, especially widows, may have it even worse in Afghanistan, the report says. Without a spouse, the women are reduced to begging to feed their children. Options outside the home are limited where the Taliban holds sway in Afghanistan. The Taliban’s interpretation of strict Islamic law, or sharia, has included banning girls from school and the workplace.
Even in areas not overrun by the Taliban, women face risks outside the home. The assassination of the most prominent national female senior police officer, in Kandahar in September 2008, underscores the tremendous risks faced by women in public life, the report says.

It has been my experience that if you are a housewife, you are considered stupid, lazy, and inferior to those who are so-called career women. I’ve even had women make remarks to me like Oh, you just stay at home, or How can you do that. People don’t realize that housewives/mothers don’t have it all that great, they never get holidays, don’t get paid, their work-day is never done, have no financial security for the future, etc. I think people still have the misconception that housewives lay around on the couch all day and eat bonbons and watch trash TV. That makes me mad!!!

. asked:

I know a few women who have college degrees, but stay at home…is it a security thing? Like a back-up plan? Two of them say they look back and wish they would have not gone and saved the money for their OWN children’s college one day…anybody a SAHM with a yet-to-be applied degree?

(I plan on taking online courses later on, maybe for after all my kids are teens, but right now daddy makes enough for us both.)
I agree, I **** it when both parents work full-time and let other people raise their children…if I had a degree, I wouldn’t say, ‘Well, I can’t give up my career!’ Beign a mommy IS a career!

. asked:

Since there’s a lot of burglaries nowadays, even in nice neighborhoods, why can’t people buy more security doors in the front and back?

Of course if I ask my mother about a security door, she would think that it is ghetto. Women really oppose home security.
I’m not selling nothing.

And with these young Men Woman coming home from the War disabled before they had a chance to build a Nest egg to fall back on. There are more Men women coming home Disabled in this War then there was in Vietnam and Korea but together It is very hard to make a living on SSDI alone and with the high cost of everything that is Associated with being disabled. These Men Woman gave a lot for there Country it is time we do more for them if everyone was taxed the same across the board on all income a flat tax of 15% for everyone no right off and not stop paying after $90,000. There are a lot of people in this Country that make more then $90,000 and most have very good tax advisors that find all the loop holes and right offs. They say they pay more others say they pay less but a flat tax no deductions or right offs it would be fair for all and SSI would not be in trouble of running out of mone
I am sure I am going to get a lot of negitive remarks here from people that are not disabled
