Any tips from women that have had good results? Can I detox my body or is this bad for the baby? I don’t want to be lacking in nutrients for the baby, but I want to get back to a comfortable weight.
stay on your prenatals and just eat healthy it will be good for you and your baby I stuck to fruits for snacks and portion controls but make sure to keep taking prenatals

keep taking prenatal vitamins and with breastfeeding you lose weight faster than bottle feeding because the baby is taking everything from you =)

Breastfeeding will help you loose a lot of the weight, but it really isn’t healthy to diet too much while breastfeeding. You can cut out a lot of the unhealthy foods, like candy and chips, but you will need to drink a lot of water and eat healthy well balanced meals. When I was breastfeeding I wanted to loose a lot of weight so I wouldn’t eat that much and it backfired on me. I felt really light headed and my body was not making enough milk. So just eat right to keep yourself and your baby healthy.

just eat healthy. Your body will go back. Detoxing is prolly a bad idea, just tell yourself that everything your eating your baby is getting too. It really helps me stay away from the junk food and sugar. I still take prenatal vitamins too but I took them for a long time before I was pregnant as well.
Just eat healthy and drink a lot of water…a ton of water actually lol it helps! Lots of walking too, not only will it help get the weight off but it will help your body recover. After 5 weeks my doctor couldnt even tell I had a baby!

Start off slowly. I would suggest just trying to get out for a short walk every day, once you feel up to it. Around 6 weeks postpartum you should be feeling pretty good. At that point you can start to exercise more vigorously. As far as diet is concerned, you need 2000+ calories when BFing. Stick to fresh fruits and veggies and whole wheat products. There is no need to follow any specific plan, just have lots of things handy because you won’t have time in the moment. Pre-cut veggies and fruit, hummus, nuts, lean protein like cheese sticks.

My doctor told me to eat a little bit extra while breastfeeding. Not too much. Like an apple. You’re no longer eating for two but they say you should have an extra 100 calories or so per day while breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is a great way to lose weight. Exercise is always good if you feel up to it. Going for a walk with your baby is a great idea, weather permitting. You won’t get back to a comfortable weight right away, but just eat right and exercise and you’ll get back to a comfortable weight before too long.
